David and Jennifer first met in 2010, where they recognized a shared passion for helping photographers get exposure and recognition for their work and began creating programs to do just that.
David Bram is the editor, founder, and curator of Fraction Magazine, an online venue dedicated to fine art, contemporary photography. Fraction Magazine brings together diverse bodies of work by established and emerging artists from around the globe. Fraction Magazine was founded in 2008, is published on a monthly basis, and has shown portfolios from more than 300 photographers.
Jennifer Schwartz is the creator/director of Crusade for Art, a non-profit organization focused on cultivating demand for art, specifically fine art photography. Jennifer believes in empowering photographers to be innovative and create audiences for their work. She formerly owned and directed a fine art photography gallery in Atlanta, the Jennifer Schwartz Gallery, for five years and created the online project, The Ten. In the Spring of 2013, she traveled around the country in a 1977 VW bus, engaging audiences with photography. Her book, Crusade For Your Art: Best Practices for Fine Art Photographers was published in March 2014.
David and Jennifer both regularly participate in portfolio review events such as Fotofest, PhotoLucida, Review Santa Fe, PhotoNOLA, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, Medium, Filter and others. They both were invited at curators to the Lishui Photo Festival in Lishui, China in 2011 and travel around the country giving talks, guest-lecturing at universities, leading workshops and hosting photographic retreats.
They each have unique and complimentary skill sets and photographic backgrounds. David’s specialties include editing and sequencing work, social media and new industry opportunities. Jennifer’s areas of expertise are writing artist statements, navigating the traditional avenues for exposure, and thinking strategically and creatively to determine target audiences.
